WARNING : THIRTEENTH BLOG

I now have a new model in my collection. A gunship! I tried to be as original as I can be on this one. However, with so many other gunship models out there in movies and games, it was hard to come up with something original. So, as a result, I came up with a hybrid of the one you may see in the movie Aliens and the one you see in the game Battlefield 2142.

Also, I must say again that these textures are not mine. They are from http://www.art.eonworks.com, the art of Dawid Michalczyk. The textures used were:

-pipe_textures-200053-SM.jpg

-3D_game_textures-200037-SM.jpg

-surface_texture-200023-SM.jpg

-ceiling_texture-200029-SM.jpg

-rusty_metal_wall_texture-200035-SM.jpg

-3D_game_texture-200019-SM.jpg

As for the rest, which you could see that is very simply made and horrible, are mine. I am no good at these things, so please be noted that they were made by someone else who is way better than me.

Right, the new model. Lets see now, it has a wing, missile or rocket pods, engine/jet thingy, cockpit, some pilots in the cockpit, and of course, guns. Yes I think this one looks pretty much like a gunship. It’s sort of not too big in scale compared to the pilots inside I believe, and I think that the thing might be able to fly (in animation) because it looks like many of the science fiction games and movie gunship or transport ship.

The theme here is black, because I like black. It’s nice. And it also makes the whole thing more military like. If it was in other colors like in white, blue, or even yellow, it might have looked more transport like, not military or weapon like.

As for the capabilities for this ship, I think I will make animations for it to be able to fly and hover over an area and being able to open fire. That would be cool, if I could combine this ship with the other things I already made. And since I made pilots inside, it might actually look cool or nice to see them moving and configuring their cockpits inside. That animation would look nice. Now I am learning how to make gunfire animations or bullet animations. If I can do it, then I would be able to make animations of it and make a movie, hopefully. Of course this movie or animation’s them will be war and battle, I still don’t have a story in mind and might take DECADES just to figure that out. But for now, my idea is just war, battle, and then one side loses. Eventually that losing side will be able to fight back efficiently and win the battle. Yes that would be a nice story line. (A very simple and well known story line)

Anyway, that was what I did and came up with. My next project, hopefully, is an animation or a short film. And by golly if I can do it, wonderful. If I cannot, then well, I can’t. That’s just it though. Too bad there is no one I know of or can know of that might teach me how to do these sort of things, and better yet, for free.

WARNING : TWELFTH BLOG

FINALLY, A TANK
Now, then, let me explain how I got the tank. The textures and the floor are exactly the same as the rest, and are credited in the previous blog. They were all made by someone else that was not me, and the credits should totally go to that person who actually made it. I SUCK at making textures, so I took it from someone else's website.

Anyway, that is my tank model, which is actually very simple in shape. I made two kinds of tank, one is a light tank version, the other is the one you see, which is a bigger, thicker, and more heavily looking version of the two types. It is quite big if you compare it with the human models, but it’s a good size I think. It sort of looks like the German Tiger 2 tank of World War 2. In other words, it is a huge monstrous tank. And if you look carefully, you would see that the thing, the tank, is on wheels and not tracks. I initially wanted the tank to be a versatile vehicle, yet not so vulnerable, sort of like the modern day APC. But it would serve as a main battle tank, which has speed, versatility, and a lot of maneuverability. But since wheels are generally more vulnerable to fire, I made it look a little metallic. That is right, METAL WHEELS!

And with some lights, a floor, and even a crappy explosion thingy on the end of the barrel, you would get this.
Not exactly high definition or high graphics, but you get the picture. Plus, I do this on my free time, so I am not that good. There are details to be eliminated, small areas that need retexturing and lighting, but it’s at least good enough to be out, I think.

Here is a simple picture of just using the few applications available on this program I used to make this. The tank is shooting yes. What I don't know, just shooting something. And it would look nice if I had the proper sky texture so that it would complete the picture or something.

Anyway, that is what I have done so far. My later project might include adding a sky to my things, or even just find the right sky texture first. Then I could try combining more of my soldiers and tank so that they look quite cool. I coul already imagine the picture right here now. A tank firing in an open grass field, with soldiers crawling and running, with some flashes of bullets whizzing past their heads, some maybing having an impact on the troops. And the tank, it must be full of battle marks, bullet holes, and around it would be artillery fire going up in smoke and dust. Now that would be a cool picture. Maybe that would be my next project, a picture. And to think, I am in the faculty of law, yet I do these sort of artistic things on my free time. Maybe I could get real good and do some animation movie or something, but thats a long, long while away, and I have more important things to think about and chase after. I guess what I'm saying is that perhaps I might not continue to do these sort of things, but if I do, I might make a career out of it, though its not my first choice of career.

WARNING : ELEVENTH BLOG

This is the new model with a new texture which I DID NOT MAKE. Please be noted that it was taken from the gallery of http://www.art.eonworks.com . They are all samples so you can actually see the www.art.eoanworks.com on it, and I do not wish to break any copyright rules. These pictures were take from the website http://www.art.eonworks.com.

Anyway, this is my new model with the textures that are not mine. They look way better because, well, the textures aren't mine. If they were, I would be lying and is going to go to jail or prison. But they are not mine. They belong to http://www.art.eonworks.com, the art of Dawid Michalczyk. the pictures that I used for this model are :
-game_wall_texture-200051-SM.jpg
-pipe_textures-200053-SM.jpg
-3D_game_textures-200037-SM.jpg
-surface_texture-200023-SM.jpg
-ceiling_texture-200029-SM.jpg
-rusty_metal_wall_texture-200035-SM.jpg
-3D_game_texture-200019-SM.jpg
I also ugraded the glass visor part texture to make it more glass like by messing around with the Specular section of the Materials for the textures. Well now its more glass like than ever, but it is also quite see through. Now, you can see the stick figure inside. I tried making a face, but believe me, I was no good at it. I then tried putting the sample Man model Head inside. It made him look sort of gay so I took it out.

So the result is this. And if you put it in a group, they
look quite good, I dare say. And so, this is what they look like now. Nice isn't it? And this is without the lighting effect. You can add any sort of lighting effect if you want, which can result in so many cool effects. This here picture is without any lights that I put in. It may be a little dark, but it is actually a nice little work.

This is with some of the lighting effects I put in. It is not very professional or nice, but it gives the models a really nice look at the details, which the light helps you to see more clearly. This is how it looks (left). Here you can actually see that the glass shield/visor thingy of the helmet is see through. The Model at the right that is kneeling down is a good example of that. You can see that the light passes through, giving shadow, and you can see the inside of the helmet (which is a crappy stickfigure colored in gray texture that I made). And that is what you get for adding lights.

Now, if you were to add a scene as well (I used more textures from http://www.art.eonworks.com), then you would get something that looks like this. This one still doesn't have all the details, and I don't feel like changing it now because I feel sick. ( I ate too much last night, and I now have a fever, indigestion, and gas...) Anyway, this is the result of adding an environment with the models, and some lights, because without lights the whole thing is almost pitch black. It is an okay job, I guess, but it could be much better, especially if a professional would do it. The textures for the floor, the wall, and the ceiling are:
-wall_textures-200052-SM.jpg
-sci-fi_metal_floor_texture-200014-SM.jpg
-sci-fi_metal_wall_texture-200036-SM.jpg
-floor_sci-fi_texture-200017-SM.jpg
All of which is the art of Dawid Michalczyk from the web site http://www.art.eonworks.com. All the pictures for texture (except 1 or 2 that I made) is from there, and still contains the web site name in it if you look carefully. They were not made by me, because I suck at it, and was made by someone who was good at it and not by me.
